Every person needs a mentor. After all, it is not a weakness to learn from wise and knowledgeable people – it is a strength. Let nobody convince you otherwise.
I consider myself very lucky to have discovered several individuals whom I find highly inspirational. In fact, many of the positive changes in my life I owe to their direction and guidance.
The following person provided the best value and advice during my quest for self-improvement. I highly endorse the message and mindset of this mentor.
Bold & Determined
On the topic of self-improvement, a winner’s mindset, and personal growth as a man, look no further than Victor Pride. Victor is an accomplished author and digital entrepreneur. He also runs the highly successful Bold & Determined blog, which is a fundamental source of life-changing information for men.
I highly appreciate Victor’s no-nonsense approach. He provides concise advice on life, health and success. Furthermore, he offers one of the greatest gifts anyone can ever give you: he tells you what you NEED to hear, not what you WANT to hear. No bullshit. No sugar coating.
While Victor Pride gets me fired up, motivated and inspired, I also crave tranquility at times. I have discovered that minimalism brings me this much needed mental peace. The following people taught me the most about minimalism and I encourage you to have a look at their work.
Enter Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus, otherwise known as The Minimalists. This successful blogging duo has been prominently featured in numerous news papers and TV shows. And after they released their award-winning documentary, Minimalism: A Documentary About the Important Things, on Netflix, they truly gained momentum. For instance, they got me thinking about how materialism and excessive consumption negatively impacts our lives.
Their message really resonated with me and introduced me to a minimalist lifestyle, allowing me to live more with less.
A real man is self-reliant. He can efficiently defend himself and his family by employing a variety of skills. When shit hits the fan, he has to be able to provide the basic necessities: food, water, shelter, fire, and safety to himself and his family. After all, security and protection are the primary responsibilities of the individual – and not the government.
Warrior Poet Society
The host of the Warrior Poet Society, John Lovell, is a former US Army Ranger, veteran, and tactics and firearms instructor. Check out his YouTube channel for excellent advice – often with a humorous twist – on a warrior’s mindset and self-reliance, gear, combat tactics, and the Second Amendment.
All of these resources have been of great value to me. I’m sure they will offer the same to you.
Take care and until next time.
