I have no control over any personal information these services may obtain about you while using my website. Akismet collects information about visitors who comment on all websites that use their anti-spam service. The collected information typically includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).

If you leave a comment on my site you may opt-in to save your name, email address and website in cookies through Disqus. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for 1 year.

This does not include the automated built-in sharing of some of your information with the trusted third party services I use to manage and operate this website. These services take extensive measures to ensure that your information is well protected.

All information sent by you through the contact form will be kept for a period of 6 months after completion of the conversation.
Any comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
I will indefinitely store all your relevant personal information through MailChimp if you subscribe to my newsletter, up until the moment you decide to unsubscribe. Once unsubscribed, all your personal information gained through MailChimp will be deleted and will not be retained in any format.
For users that register on our website (if any), this website also stores the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). The website administrator can also see and edit that information. Upon request, the administrator will delete all your personal information.
Your Data Rights
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
